Middleton Ambulance Station
Refurbishment
Project Value: £188,000
Project Date: January 2019
Complete refurbishment of the old existing ambulance station, under a 16-week programme, in a new venture project working with new client Frank Whittle Partnerships.
The project involved a full strip out of all existing items along with remodelling of the vehicle workshop areas into new canteen and rest areas for staff. Existing concrete floors were taken out and replaced with a fully insulated concrete floor slab. The office areas received a full makeover, along with new flooring, lighting and decorations.
Externally the building received a complete new roofing fabric along with new fascia boarding and rainwater goods. Additional window openings had to be formed and old doorways blocked up. New drainage runs were installed to facilitate the new shower areas that were created within the building.
A new heating system was installed along with new shower facilities and hot water supplies.
